ScamShield by Kinetic Intel is an AI-powered scam detection tool available on Windows, Android, and web. This policy explains what happens to the information you paste into ScamShield when you check a message, email, or link.

2What We Collect

Nothing, by default. ScamShield does not require you to create an account, sign in, or provide any personal information to use it. You can open the app and start scanning messages immediately.

When you paste a message, email, or link into ScamShield to be analyzed, that text is:

• Sent directly to our AI provider (Groq) for real-time analysis
• Used only to generate the scam-risk result shown to you
• Not stored, logged, or saved by Kinetic Intel after the analysis completes
• Not linked to your identity, device, or any account, because none exists

3Third-Party Processing

ScamShield uses Groq as its AI inference provider to analyze the text you submit. The content you paste is sent to Groq's API solely to generate the scam analysis. Kinetic Intel does not control Groq's internal data retention practices, but no personally identifying information about you is sent as part of this request — only the message text you choose to check.

4What We Don't Do

• We don't track you across other websites or apps
• We don't sell, rent, or share any data with advertisers
• We don't require an account, email, or phone number to use the app
• We don't store the messages you scan after the result is shown

5Permissions (Android)

The ScamShield Android app requests only the minimum permissions needed to function — primarily internet access to reach the AI analysis service. ScamShield does not request access to your contacts, SMS messages, camera, or location.

6Children's Privacy

ScamShield is not directed at children under 13 and does not knowingly collect information from them, consistent with the fact that the app collects no personal information from any user.

7Changes to This Policy

If this policy changes — for example, if we introduce optional accounts or new features that involve data storage — we will update this page and revise the "Last updated" date above.
